From central Mombasa, the A109 Mombasa Road runs north and west out of the city, connecting to the westbound Airport Road after about 6km (3 miles). Airport Road leads directly to the terminals. The total drive time to the airport from Mombasa is approximately 20 minutes.

The two passenger terminals are located adjacent to one another and are within short walking distance.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Taxi: Authorised 'Kenatco' taxis (tel: +254 70 964 2000; www.kenatco.co.ke) are readily available outside the Mombasa Moi International Airport terminals, and are the only transport option other than by private car or tour operator shuttle. The journey time into the city is about 20 minutes. For security, travellers are encouraged to use the officially licensed taxis available outside of both the domestic and international Arrival halls.

Money:
There are ATMs and three banks in the Arrival and Departure terminals. The banks also offer foreign exchange services.
Food:
There is a small airside food court and a café in the public area.
Shopping:
There are several outlets in both terminals offering duty-free goods, regional crafts and other luxury items and souvenirs.
Luggage:
Left-luggage facilities are available for passengers, and trolleys (usually accompanied by 'trolley boys') are plentiful, for a small fee.
Other:
There is a prayer room at the airport, but generally, other facilities are currently somewhat basic by international airport standards. There are, however, travel agents and tour operators present to help with accommodation and tour bookings.

Conference and business:
There are VIP, business and first-class lounges in the main terminal, along with a business centre offering basic facilities. There are no meeting or conference rooms, but these are available at the Jambo Village Hotel (tel: +254 717 357 327; www.jambovillagehotel.com), a 10-minute drive from the airport site, and at many of the larger hotels in Mombasa and along the coastline.
Communication Facilities:
Mombasa Moi International Airport has a post office and Wi-Fi is available inside the lounges.
Disabled facilities:
Limited disabled facilities are offered in the terminals, which are generally wheelchair-accessible. For special assistance, passengers are advised to contact their airline prior to travel.
Car parking:
Limited short- and long-term parking is available.
Car rental:
Avis is represented at Mombasa Moi International Airport. Other major car hire firms have offices in Mombasa, and can arrange to meet arrivals at the airport.
