About Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)

Known locally as Aéroport de la Pointe Larue, Seychelles International Airport is the main airport on the 155-island archipelago and is located on the main island of Mahé. Our Seychelles airport guide includes important transport information, a list of airport facilities and contact details.

Information:

There is a tourist information/hotel booking desk in Arrivals, which is open whenever there is a flight. There are general airport information desks in various locations in both terminals.

Driving directions:

From Victoria city centre, head southeast along the Victoria-Providence highway and follow signs for the airport.

Transfer between terminals:

There is a walkway between the two passenger terminals. It takes two minutes to walk from one to the other.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus:Buses operate from 0530 to 1930 and depart for Victoria every 20-30 minutes. Bus stops are on the main road outside the airport (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: around SCR4).

Taxi:Taxis operate 24 hours a day from the airport. Fares start at around SCR100 into Victoria.

Public transport air:

Helicopter:Zil Air (tel: +248 4 375 100;www.zilair.com) operates numerous helicopter and fixed-wing services between Seychelles International Airport and various islands in the archipelago. Air Seychelles (tel: +248 4 391 000; www.airseychelles.com) operates shuttle flights to Praslin island.

Terminal facilities

Money:

There are ATMs, a bank and a bureau de change in the international terminal.

Food:

There are restaurants and bars in both passenger terminals.

Shopping:

There are duty-free shops, which open three hours before international flight departures, in the departure halls of the international terminal. There is also a small tax-free outlet in the arrivals area. Additional shops are available in the concourse.

Luggage:

Luggage trolleys and left-luggage facilities are available.

Other:

A travel agent is among a number of other facilities at Seychelles International Airport.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

There is a VIP lounge in the international terminal. Meeting facilities are offered by some of the island's larger hotel complexes.

Communication Facilities:

Wi-Fi internet access (free of charge for the first two hours of use) is available throughout Seychelles International Airport. Public telephones can be found in both terminals.

Disabled facilities:

Facilities for the disabled are limited, but include accessible toilets and a system of ramps for easier access. Passengers requiring assistance should contact their airline for further information prior to travelling.

Car parking:

There are 40 short-term and more than 100 long-term parking spaces at the airport. These parking areas have direct access to the terminal buildings.

Car rental:

Car hire is available at the airport from Avis, Hertz and Sixt, as well as a couple of local operators. Car hire desks are located in the arrivals and departures areas. Most of these are open only when there is a departing or arriving flight.
