New Chitose Airport is signposted from the Sapporo motorway network. It is accessible from the Hokkaido Expressway via Exit C. The drive time to Sapporo is approximately one hour. Please note that the route has tolls.
Transfer between terminals:
The international and the domestic terminal buildings are linked via a connecting path.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Bus stops are located in front of both terminals. Airport limousine buses head for downtown Sapporo via Fukuzima. Fixed route buses do not serve Sapporo but are a good way to reach downtown Chitose.
Coaches leave from the airport to downtown Sapporo, operated by Hokkaido Chuo Bus (tel: +81 11 231 0500; http://teikan.chuo-bus.co.jp) and Hokuto Kotsu (tel: +81 11 375 6000; http://www.hokto.co.jp). Tickets for both lines cost 1,030 yen.
Taxi: Taxis wait outside the domestic terminal building at two stands and at one stand in front of the international terminal. It’s also possible to reserve sightseeing taxis and jumbo taxis at the information desk. Fares into Sapporo are around 16,000 yen and the ride takes around an hour.
Public transport rail:
The railway station is situated within the domestic terminal building. A direct Rapid Airport Express service runs regularly between JR New Chitose Airport Station and Sapporo (journey time: 35-40 minutes; fare: 1,070 yen).

Money:
Currency exchange services and ATMs are available in both terminals. Financial institutions represented at the airport include North Pacific Bank, Hokkaido Bank, Hokkaido Labour Bank, Seven Bank, AEON Bank and Japan Post Bank.
Food:
There are numerous restaurants, bars and cafés located in both terminals (both pre- and post-security).
Shopping:
There are many shops at New Chitose Airport, including convenience stores, souvenir retailers and bookshops. Several duty-free outlets are available.
Luggage:
Coin lockers, temporary baggage storage facilities with home delivery and porter service options are available in both terminals. Baggage scales are provided free of charge. Information on lost and found items is provided at information desks.
Other:
Other available facilities at New Chitose Airport include a nursery, stroller rental service, powder room, prayer room, lottery ticket booth and entertainment facilities (Hello Kitty Happy Flight, Doraemon Waku Waku Sky Park and cinema). There is also a Japanese Onsen (hot spring) on-site.
Airport facilities
Conference and business:
There are business facilities available in the domestic terminal building offering internet, photocopying and fax services. The Super Lounge in the domestic terminal has a dedicated business area.
Communication Facilities:
Wi-Fi internet access is available free-of-charge throughout the airport. There are also Internet Lounges at the airport charging 100 yen for 10 minutes. Wi-Fi router and mobile phone rental services are available and there are automatic vending machines selling prepaid SIM cards. There is also a post office located in the domestic terminal building.
Disabled facilities:
Special assistance (tel: +81 123 23 0111) is available for disabled passengers. There are elevators, accessible toilets, accessible pay phones, audio guidance and touch panels, ramps and a wheelchair rental service at New Chitose Airport. Passengers requiring further assistance should inform the relevant airline before travelling.
Car parking:
There are three parking areas at the airport, open 24 hours a day. Parking area A and B are positioned between the international and the domestic terminals. Parking area C is positioned further off to the east. The parking areas are managed by Chitose Tourism Association (tel: +81 123 45 7061; www.kuko-aparking.com) and the Airport Environment Improvement Foundation (tel: +81 123 27 8338; www.aeif.or.jp).
