Currency information
Although most currencies are accepted, the main currency in circulation is the Euro. Euro (€) = 100 cents. Notes are in denominations of €500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5. Coins are in denominations of €2, 1 and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 cents.
Credit cards
American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
Travellers cheques
To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travellers are advised to take traveller's cheques in Euros, Pounds Sterling and US Dollars.
Banking hours
Mon-Fri 0900-1300 and 1500-1700, Sat 0900-1200.
Currency restrictions
There are no restrictions on the import or export of local or foreign currency.
Currency exchange
Andorran banks and bureaux de change will exchange foreign currency.
Andorra duty free
Overview
Andorra is a duty-free zone, but travellers should check French/Spanish regulations as both these countries maintain customs controls at the borders.

Banned Imports
Narcotics, firearms and ammunition, and counterfeit goods.
Banned Exports
You cannot export works of art without permission.
