Kos is a small island with a relatively simple road network. To go to Kos Island International Airport from the town of Kos, choose the main road going west and follow signs for Antimachia and the airport.

Bus:KTEL local buses serve the towns of Kos, Kardamena, Kefalos and Mastihari from the bus stop just outside the airport. Olympic Airways shuttle buses correspond with the airline's arriving and departing flights.

Taxi:Taxis are available outside the terminal buildings. It is recommended to agree the price before the taxi journey. Expect to pay €35-45 each way.

There are no banking facilities at Kos Island International Airport.

Food:

There is a café selling hot and cold drinks, small dishes and snacks in the terminal building.

Shopping:

Duty-free shopping is available in the terminal building.

Luggage:

Queries about lost items of luggage should be directed to the information desk or to the airline concerned.

Other:

There is a medical centre at Kos Island International Airport. A police station is also located on-site.

Airport facilities

There are no conference or business facilities on the airport site. Some of the island’s larger hotels can provide business facilities, such as the nearby Mastichari Bay Hotel (tel: +30 22420 59300;www.masticharibayhotel.com), which has conference space, projectors and high-speed internet connections.

There are currently no internet or postal facilities within the terminal.

Disabled facilities:

Facilities for the disabled are basic. Those needing assistance at the airport should contact their airline before travel.

The on-site car park has space for 100 cars. Long- and short-term rates are available.
