About Oslo Airport (OSL)

Driving directions:

From central Oslo, follow the E6 trunk road (which runs through the city to Trondheim and on to the far north of Norway) north until Jessheim, where there is a dedicated exit and airport road. The airport is clearly signposted all the way from the city centre. The total drive time to the airport from Oslo is approximately 40 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: The Airport Express Coach (SAS Flybussen) (tel: +47 4000 1166; www.flybussen.no) links Oslo Airport and Oslo Central Station (journey time: 45 minutes). There is also a night service to Oslo Bus Terminal.

Coach: Regular coach services connect Oslo Airport with various destinations in Norway. For regional bus routes, there is a bus station just south of the railway station, which is within walking distance.

Taxi: A taxi information desk can be found in the arrival hall, and the taxi rank itself is located outside Arrivals. The fare into central Oslo starts at around NOK850 and the journey time is roughly 40 minutes. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Oslo Taxis (tel: +47 2238 8600; www.oslotaxi.no).

Public transport rail:

Rail: The Airport Express Train (Flytoget) (tel: +47 4777 0098; www.flytoget.no), connects Oslo Airport to Oslo (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: NOK190), stopping at Oslo Central and various subway stations, and continuing on to Drammen. You're encouraged to download the app (search for "Flytoget" and purchase the ticket with your mobile). Alternatively, you can buy paper tickets from any of the ticket machines at the station or at the arrival terminal.  Trains depart from the station beneath the terminal building. All NSB (tel: +47 6105 1910; www.nsb.no) inter-city and express trains on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim route also stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen station. Trains run every 10 minutes during the week, and every 20 minutes on Saturdays. Buy your ticket using the NSB app.

Terminal facilities

Money:

DNB offers banking and currency exchange facilities in Arrivals and Departures. Additionally there are numerous ATMs located throughout the airport.

Food:

Numerous restaurants, cafés, snack bars, fast-food outlets and bars are located within Oslo Airport. The widest choice is in the domestic and international departure lounges, with options ranging from seafood bars and sushi outlets to pizza places. Additionally, a small selection of cafés is available in the public arrivals area.

Shopping:

Duty-free shopping is available for all international passengers in the international arrival and departure halls. Various other shops are located throughout Oslo Airport, including a shop selling Norwegian smoked salmon amongst other local culinary delicacies. VAT reclaim is available for non-Nordic passengers.

Luggage:

There is a left-luggage and lost property office (tel: +47 6481 3477) opposite the railway station in the arrivals area. A porter service is also available from this office.

Other:

Other facilities available at Oslo Airport include a travel agency in the departures hall (before security), and numerous drinking fountains – spouting pure Norwegian mineral water.

Conference and business:

The Radisson Blu Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: +47 6393 3000; www.radissonblu.no) is adjacent to the terminal, and has a conference centre with a range of services, including: internet access, meeting rooms, video conferencing, secretarial services and catering.

Meeting facilities are also available at the Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport hotel (tel: +47 6702 4000; www.parkinn.com). Both hotels are linked to the terminal building via covered walkways.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access (for up to two hours) is available throughout Oslo Airport. Static internet kiosks are also available at selected departure gates. Payphones are located at various points, while wireless phone charging points are also available within the terminal. Fax and photocopying services are provided at the information desk in the arrivals hall.

Disabled facilities:

The terminal is adapted for passengers with disabilities, who are requested to contact Passenger Services (tel: +47 6482 1900) at least 24 hours in advance of arrival at the airport. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Oslo Taxis (tel: +47 2238 8090) or at the taxi information desk in Arrivals. Parking for disabled passengers is available.

Car parking:

There are over 19,000 car parking spaces at Oslo Airport. A multistorey car park (P10) is the most convenient option, with direct access to the terminal, while an outdoor car park (P2) is located immediately adjacent to the terminal. P4 and P6 are both outdoor car parks further away and best for customers who want reasonable parking. There are free shuttle buses running regularly to/from the terminal building. Car rental:

Car hire companies at Oslo Airport include: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. These operators each have offices in the arrivals hall, close to the railway station entrance. The designated hire car return area is within the multistorey car park.
