Driving directions:

To access the airport from central Bern head south along Thunstrasse and follow this road to the Sonnenhoftunnel turn off (A6). Follow this road all the way to junction 14 then turn right onto Viehweidstrasse. From here, turn right onto Kummenstrasse, then take another right onto Aemmenmattstrasse, and follow signs to the airport entrance. The total drive time should take roughly 25 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: The Airport Bus service (route 334) operates regular direct services between the airport and Bern central station (tel: +41 31 321 8844; www.bernmobil.ch). The single fare is CHF6.40, and the journey time is roughly 20-25 minutes. During the ski season, a ‘Winter Bus’ service operates from the airport to major local winter sports areas (www.myjungfrau.ch).
Taxi: Taxis are available outside arrivals. There is a taxi office outside the airport terminal. Journey time into central Bern is about 20 minutes.

Public transport rail:

The nearest railway station to the airport is Belp, which is linked to the airport by the Tangento bus service (tel: +41 31 321 8844; www.bernmobil.ch).
From Belp local trains run to Bern central station (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: CHF3.60) via Swiss Railways (tel: +41 900 300 300; www.sbb.ch). From Bern central station, connections to destinations throughout Switzerland and beyond are available.

A restaurant and café are located within the terminal and another restaurant is situated immediately outside the complex.

Shopping:

Limited retail facilities are available, though duty-free shopping is available for both arriving and departing passengers.

Luggage:

Luggage trolleys are available in the terminal. A lost and found office (tel: +41 31 960 2131) is on hand to assist with enquires regarding belongings misplaced in the terminal. You can also track your lost baggage on the airport’s website.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

There are no dedicated conference or business facilities within the terminal, however the airport lounge offers a quiet space to meet over snacks, drinks, and complimentary newspapers and magazines.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout Bern-Belp Airport.

Disabled facilities:

The airport is fully accessible to persons with reduced mobility, and disabled parking spaces are available in the closest parking area to the terminal. Those requiring assistance at the terminal should contact airport staff (tel: +41 31 960 2131) in advance of travel, as well as notifying their airline.

Car parking:

Short and long-tem parking is available within a short walking distance of the terminal building. Valet parking is also available. The parking lots are not connected to the terminal building by a shuttle.
