Passports

To enter Saudi Arabia, passports must be valid for at least six months from the entry date.

Passengers must comply with Saudi conventions of dress and behaviour. Please familiarise yourself with the public decency law (download here) before your trip.

Visas

All visitors to Saudi Arabia require a visa, except visitors from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (who can travel to Saudi without a visa).

eVisa
Saudi Arabia launched the eVisa system allowing tourists from many countries to apply for a visa online through the portal (visa.vistisaudi.com) or apply upon arrival (the latter is for passport holders of the UK, the US, plus holders of Schengen visas). These countries are Andorra, Australia, Austria,  Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Hajj visa
Hajj visas are free, although there are charges for services provided. For more information, visit www.haj.gov.sa.

Types and Cost

eVisas: SAR 300, plus SAR 140 for medical insurance.

Validity

eVisa: one year, multiple-entry with each trip up to 90 days.

Working days

eVisa takes 5 to 30 minutes in most cases, while a consulate-issued visa may take one or two business days.
