Driving directions:

From central Palm Springs, head eastwards along East Tahquitz Canyon Way – this connects directly to Palm Springs International Airport. The total drive time from Palm Springs to the airport is approximately five minutes.

From Los Angeles, take Interstate 10 eastbound. Exit at Gene Autry Trail (Palm Drive), turn right at Ramon Avenue and right again at Kirk Douglas Way, which leads to the airport entrance.

Public transport road:

Bus:Morongo Basin Transit Authority (tel: +1 760 366 2395; www.mbtabus.com) buses 12 and 15 serve the immediate Palm Springs area and a number of destinations in the Yucca Valley, with regular scheduled services (fares: US$5 [Morongo Valley]; US$7 [Yucca Valley]).

Money:

There are three ATMs in the terminal: one in the Main Terminal near the Security Checkpoint entrance, one in the Bono Concourse (Gates 4-11) and one in the New Concourse (Gates 12-20).

Food:

There are a number of cafés and restaurants at Palm Springs International Airport. Among the options are a grill restaurant (Bono Concourse), smoothie vendor (Bono Concourse) and wine bar (after the security checkpoint).

Shopping:

There are several newsagents offering a wide selection of magazines, books, snacks, drinks and practical travel items. A gift shop is located in the Bono Concourse; this sells a range of desert-themed goods. Other shops include a retailer selling branded Palm Springs clothing and a golf shop.

Luggage:

A lost and found service is available at the airport (tel: +1 760 318 3841), assisting passengers with lost luggage queries.

Other:

A play structure for children is located in the grassy area between gates 1 and 2, past the security checkpoint. The terminal is designed to make the most of the generally warm and sunny weather in the region; as a consequence, there is a sizeable outdoor waiting area past the security checkpoint.

Conference and business:

There are no conference or business facilities at Palm Springs International Airport. However, several nearby hotels and the Palm Springs Convention Centre (tel: +1 760 325 6611; www.palmspringscc.com) offer meeting and event facilities of all types.

Disabled facilities:

All parking (both long- and short-term) is located conveniently across from the terminal building.
