Coming from the north or south, take exit 46 of the Maine Turnpike, go through the toll booth and turn right. The entrance to Portland International Jetport is straight ahead.
When coming from the north on Interstate 295; after passing downtown Portland, take the exit marked 'Congress Street 5B'. Continue west past Westgate Shopping Centre and the entrance to Portland International Jetport is 2km (1.3 miles) further, on the left.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus:Greater Portland Transit District METRO (tel: +1 207 774 0351; www.gpmetrobus.com) operates bus 5 into central Portland, stopping at the central train and bus stations. The journey time is about 30 minutes and the fare is US$1.50.
Taxi:A taxi service (tel: +1 207 879 1903) is available from the first morning flight to the last flight in the evening. Fixed flat rates apply to many journeys and the approximate fare to central Portland is US$17.

Food:
There is a good selection of cafés and restaurants on the first level of the terminal building. Among these is a café offering takeaway Maine lobster, a pub and several fast-food outlets. An additional pub/restaurant is located in the public area on the ground floor.
Shopping:
Shops at Portland International Jetport include news stands, a gift shop and two outlets selling specialist Maine produce.
Luggage:
There are no luggage storage facilities at Portland International Jetport. For items that have been lost or found in the terminal, call the Portland Police Airport Office (tel: +1 207 756 8320). Luggage trolleys are available on the ground floor, both inside and outside of the terminal concourse.

The business centre is located in the area between gates 7 and 8, just beyond the Maine Gate lounge. Facilities here include a photocopy machine and seven workstations – each of which features a telephone, while some are also equipped with high-speed internet connections. Meeting and conference rooms can be found at several local hotels, including the Hilton Garden Inn (tel: +1 207 828 1117; hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com), which is within walking distance of the airport.

Portland International Jetport is fully accessible to disabled travellers, with lifts and ramps where needed. Passengers requiring special assistance should notify their airline at the time of booking and contact the airport in advance of travel.

The short- and long-term covered parking area is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway. Further long-term parking can be found in a surface car park near the terminal.
