Passports
A passport valid for the duration of stay is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above. If you require a visa to travel via Canada, the UK or the USA, your passport must be valid for 45 days beyond the end of your trip. Note that US passport cards are not valid for travel by air to Bermuda.
If travelling via the USA, you may need at least six months' validity on your passport, depending on your nationality; check with your nearest US consulate/embassy.
Visas
Visas for Bermuda are not required by nationals of countries listed in the chart above. Visitors are usually granted a 21-day stay.
Visa Note
Entry visas for Bermuda are no longer required by tourist and business visitors or work permit holders. However, nationals who require multiple-entry visas to travel to/from Bermuda via Canada, the UK or the USA must have at least 45 days remaining on that visa beyond the date of departure from Bermuda. You are therefore advised to check the visa regulations for Canada, the UK or the USA to check whether you need a visa to travel via one of these countries.
All visitors must be in possession of either a return or onward ticket. You must book your accommodation in Bermuda before you travel.
Extension of stay
If you wish to extend your stay beyond 21 days, you must apply to the Bermuda Department of Immigration. While not automatic, an extension is usually granted.
Entry with pets
If bringing your pet, you must apply for an import permit from the Bermuda Department of Environment and Natural Resources (www.gov.bm/importing-animals-bermuda). Your animal requires a veterinary certificate which should be issued no more than 10 days before arrival.
