Passports
A passport valid for at least six months after departure from Bonaire is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.
Visitors must also have an onward or return ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and a copy of their hotel booking.
Visas
Dutch and Americans can stay up to 180 days within a year without a visa.
Other nationals referred to in the chart above can stay up to 90 days within 180 days.
Nationals not referred to in the chart should contact the nearest Dutch embassy.
Types and Cost
Short-stay Caribbean visa: €80.
The Caribbean visa is a multiple-entry visa. It allows travellers to make short visits (minimum 15 and maximum 90 days in a 180-day period) to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St Eustatius and St Maarten).

Schengen Visas
The Schengen visa is not valid for travel to Bonaire.
Working days
Applications for the Caribbean visa are usually processed within 15 calendar days.
Extension of stay
Visitors who have the Caribbean visa will not be able to extend the visa.
Visitors who do not require a visa may extend their stay at the immigration office, usually up to a maximum of 180 days.
Entry with pets
All pets must be accompanied by a Bonaire veterinary certificate. This should be certified by a licensed practitioner.
