Driving directions:

From central Linz, head south along the B139 motorway which curves westward towards the airport. Turn off onto Umfahrung Doppl, then, as you approach the roundabout, stay in the right lane to take the slip road to Flughafenstraße, which leads directly to the terminal. The total drive time to the airport from central Linz is approximately 20 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Regular buses (tel: +43 810 222 333; www.ooevv.at) operate from outside the terminal into the city centre (journey time: 25 minutes; fare: €3.20). Bus number 601 connects the airport with the centre of Linz.

Taxi: Taxis are available outside Arrivals which can take passengers into central Linz (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: €30-35) among other destinations. Details of companies taking advance bookings can be found on the airport website.

Public transport rail:

Passengers with valid flight tickets can take the three-minute free shuttle ride to Hörsching railway station – this service can be requested from the station (tel: +43 800 206 600), or at the airport by visiting the information desk. Journey time into Linz by direct train (tel: +43 5 1717; www.oebb.at) takes 10 minutes and costs €2.30.

Money:

A bank counter is open from 0830-1200, and an ATM is also available within the terminal.

Food:

There is a restaurant on the ground floor and upper floor of the terminal, and a café in departures.

Shopping:

Duty free is available at the airport in Departures. Items for sale include chocolates, alcoholic spirits and perfumes.

Luggage:

Luggage storage facilities are available at Car Park 1 opposite the terminal. Trolleys, to help with heavier bags, are also available. For lost and found queries contact the main information desk (tel: +43 7221 6000).

Other:

Other facilities at Blue Danube Airport Linz include baby changing rooms and a children’s play area. Several travel agencies have offices in the main hall.

Conference and business:

Conference rooms (tel: +43 7221 745 4520), with capacity for up to 500 people, are available at Linz Airport.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Linz Airport. There are also two free fixed computer terminals where passengers can browse the internet. Public telephones are also available to passengers.

Disabled facilities:

The airport is fully accessible, with lifts and disabled toilet facilities. Designated disabled parking is available immediately opposite the terminal entrance, and there are special meeting points within the terminals for those requiring help. Passengers who require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling. General enquiries can be handled by the airport management (tel: +43 7221 6000).

Car parking:

Both long- and short-term car parks are located very close to the terminal building, with a total of around 3,000 spaces. There is also a 'charter' car park a little further away, which is connected to the terminal via a shuttle.

Car rental:

International car rental companies Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are represented at the airport.
