Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus:Local buses (tel: +34 928 850 951; www.tiadhe.com) serves the airport, with bus 3 running between Puerto del Rosario and Caleta de Fuste (El Castillo), and bus 10 operating between Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable. Buses depart from outside the terminal every 30 minutes from early morning until late in the evening from Monday to Saturday, and less frequently on Sundays. The fare from Fuerteventura Airport to Puerto del Rosario is less than €2, and the journey time is around 20 minutes. Many tour operators arrange hotel transfers for their passengers.

Taxi:Taxis are available at the kerb opposite the arrivals hall. It is possible to book a taxi in advance (tel: +34 928 855 432). The fare to Puerto de Rosario is around €10.

Terminal facilities

Money:

A bank and various ATMs are available in the terminal building.

Food:

There are two cafés – one on each floor – selling sandwiches, beer, spirits, soft drinks, mixed drinks, espresso coffee and snacks. A cafeteria on the ground floor sells sandwiches, confectionery, coffee, soft drinks, beer and spirits. An outlet for ice cream and cakes is also available.

Shopping:

Fuerteventura Airport has two shops selling a variety of gift and fashion products; these can be found on the first floor in Departures. A duty-free shop selling spirits, chocolates, cosmetics and well-known brands of national and international perfumes is also in this area. There is also a shop selling local handcrafts and themed Canary Island gifts, as well as two newsagents.

Luggage:

A lost property service (tel: +34 928 862 555) is available from the ground floor arrivals hall. There are no luggage lockers at Fuerteventura Airport.

Other:

A first aid service is available. There is also a play area for children, as well as smoking areas on both floors.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

A VIP lounge is located in the check-in area. A photocopying service is available at the Aena information desk on the ground floor. Printers are also available to passengers.

Larger hotels in the vicinity, such as the Sheraton Fuerteventura (tel: +34 928 495 100; www.sheratonfuerteventura.com) offer meetings and events facilities.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Fuerteventura Airport. Public payphones are also available.

Facilities for the disabled include: reserved parking spaces, bright signalling for the visually impaired, handrails, ramps, lifts, text telephones, accessible toilets, and emergency intercoms.

Car parking:

The main P1 car park is located opposite the terminal building and has parking spaces for 945 cars. Parking is free of charge for the first half an hour.
