From central Manchester, take the southbound A5103 (Princess Road) and merge onto the southbound M56 motorway. Manchester Airport is located off junction 5 of the M56 motorway. Directions for all terminals are clearly signposted.
Transfer between terminals:
The Skylink moving walkway system links Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via the airport railway station.

Public transport road:
Bus:The 24-hour Skyline bus 43 operates to the city centre (journey time: 60 minutes; fare: £2.90). Manchester Airport's bus network also provides direct services to many local areas and other major towns and cities. Coach:A number of National Express (tel: +44 871 781 8181; www.nationalexpress.com) services run from The Station to long-distance destinations throughout the United Kingdom. A dedicated ticket desk at The Station can provide full details of all routes and rates.
Taxi: Metered taxis are available either directly outside or near the arrivals hall of each terminal. A list of maximum fares for journeys outside Manchester is displayed near the taxi ranks. Alternatively, the airport's official taxi partner, Arrow Cars (tel: +44 161 667 6999), serves the airport, with booking desks in each terminal. The journey time into central Manchester is 25 to 45 minutes, and fares start at around £20 for city centre destinations.
Public transport rail:
Rail:Manchester Airport's rail, coach and bus interchange, known as The Station, is connected to all three terminals via the Skylink moving walkway system. Trains operate to Manchester Airport from many stations in northern England and the Midlands. There is a frequent service between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: £4), which has connections to most major destinations. Terminal facilities
Money:
ATMs, full service banking facilities and bureaux de change are available in each terminal. Currency can be pre-ordered from Travelex through the airport's website and collected on arrival at the airport.
Food:
All terminals have a good choice of restaurants, cafés and bars; some of which are open 24 hours a day. The majority of places to eat and drink are in the departures areas, but there are some options in the arrivals and check-in halls. The Food Quarter food court in the departures area of Terminal 1 features a range of pop-up street-food-style eateries.
Shopping:
Duty-free shops (for non-EU passengers) and a variety of gift shops, newsagents and fashion boutiques are available in all terminals. For those not wishing to take their purchases with them on the flight, a 'collect on return' service is available.
Luggage:
Left-luggage facilities and lost property offices are operated by Excess Baggage Limited (tel: +44 8712 710 711) in the Terminal 1 and 2 arrivals areas. Luggage trolleys can be hired for a £1 or €2 deposit.
Other:
Other facilities at Manchester Airport include a medical centre, prayer rooms, baby changing facilities and a 24-hour children's play area. The on-site Radisson Blu Hotel Manchester Airport (tel: +44 161 490 5000; www.radisson.com) provides shower facilities. It is also possible to take tours of the airport's preserved Concorde aircraft in the Concorde Conference Centre.

The Radisson Blu Hotel Manchester Airport (tel: +44 161 490 5000; www.radisson.com), which is served by the airport's Skylink covered walkway, houses conference space for up to 400 delegates. Conference facilities are also available in the on-site Concorde Conference Centre (tel: +44 161 489 8299).
Servisair lounges are located in Terminals 1 and 2, while airline-specific lounges and VIP Escape Lounges can be found in all terminals.
Communication Facilities:
Wi-Fi internet access (free for up to 60 minutes) is provided in the terminal buildings; internet booths are available for those without wireless-enabled devices. Public telephones are positioned throughout Manchester Airport. Additionally, a post office is also located on-site.
Disabled facilities:
There are accessible toilets and telephones, as well as ramps and lifts throughout the airport complex. All telephones are fitted with induction loops, and the desk in Terminal 1 International Arrivals is equipped with a Minicom system. There are designated spaces in all car parks for disabled travellers, and airport buses connecting these areas are fully accessible. Passengers requiring wheelchairs or special assistance should contact their airline at least 48 hours in advance.
Car parking:
There are over 20,000 car parking spaces at Manchester Airport. Short-stay multistorey car parks are located close to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 – discounted rates are on offer when pre-booking online. A regular courtesy shuttle bus operates from the nearby long-term and economy Jet Parks areas to all terminals. Car rental:
Car hire companies including, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt are represented at the Car Rental Village, which is linked to the terminals by a free shuttle bus.
