Driving directions:

From Norwich, the airport is reached by following the A140 Cromer Road northbound. The airport is clearly signposted from the Norwich Ring Road.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: There are regular park and ride services from Norwich International Airport to the city centre (except Sundays). First Buses (tel: (01603) 760 076; www.firstgroup.com) operate the regular 603 service between Norwich city centre and Hellesdon, which is a short walk from the airport (journey time to city centre: 25 minutes).

Taxi: The Norwich International Taxi Association (tel: (01603) 424 044), provides a service to and from Norwich International Airport through its fleet of dedicated taxis. The taxi rank is located adjacent to the main terminal building. Journey time into the city centre is up to 20 minutes, and fares start at around £12-15.

Public transport rail:

There is no train station at Norwich Airport. To connect to the rail network go to Thorpe Station in the city centre (tel: 08457 484 950; www.nationalrail.co.uk), which has regular services to Ipswich, Colchester, London, Cambridge, the Midlands and other destinations. Thorpe Station is approximately 20 minutes away from the airport by taxi.

Other facilities at Norwich International Airport include a children's play area in the centre of the departure lounge, baby changing facilities, nursing mothers' rooms and a travel agency.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

Norwich International Airport’s executive lounge (tel: (01603) 420 615) is available to business passengers, offering light refreshments, complimentary newspapers and magazines, and internet, e-mail, fax and telephone services. The Holiday Inn Norwich North (tel: (01603) 410 544; www.hinorwich.com), located just 300m (984 ft) from the airport, has rooms that can be booked for meetings, conferences and conventions.

Communication Facilities:

Paid for wireless internet is available throughout Norwich International Airport and there are also several internet workstations in the terminal building. Public telephones are located at several points in the terminal.

Disabled facilities:

Norwich International Airport is all on one level, so there are no stairs or escalators to hinder wheelchair users. Reserved parking for disabled travellers is situated directly opposite the front entrance of the airport. Adapted toilet facilities are located both in the main concourse and the departure lounge. Passengers with special needs can request to pre-board their aircraft and ground staff are available to assist them at any time.

Car parking:

Both short and long-stay car parking is available on-site from NCP (tel: 0845 050 7080; www.ncp.co.uk). A 600-space short-stay car park is located adjacent to the terminal building. A 550-space long-stay car park is located slightly further away, but still within walking distance of the terminal building.

Pre-booked customers can park in the short-stay car park at long term rates. Drop-off facilities in front of the terminal building are available to disabled Orange Badge holders. Parking can be pre-booked via the airport website.

Car hire companies at Norwich International Airport include Avis, Hertz and Europcar, which all have desks located in the main concourse area.
