From Faro, take N125 northwards and then head west on the N125-10 – Faro Airport is clearly signposted throughout this route. The total drive time from Faro to the airport is approximately 10 minutes.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus:Próximo (tel: +351 289 899 760; www.proximo.pt) runs services (buses 14 and 16) from outside the terminal building to various locations in central Faro, including the central rail and bus stations. From here long-distance services run to destinations throughout the Algarve, such as Albufeira, Lagos, Portimão and Tavira – full details of routes and times are posted near the information desk. The journey time to Faro is 20 minutes, and the one-way fare starts at €1.10.
Shuttle:A number of pre-bookable resort minibus services operate from Faro Airport – contact the relevant resort for further information.
Taxi: Several taxi companies serve the airport throughout the day and night, including Auto Faro (tel: +351 289 822 333; www.auto-faro.com) and Antral (tel: +351 218 444 050; www.antral.pt). Taxis can be hailed from outside the terminal building, near the arrivals concourse. The fare into Faro is approximately €10, and the journey time is around 15 minutes. Taxis also operate to other resorts along the Algarve coast.
Public transport rail:
Rail:Trains (tel: +351 707 210 220; www.cp.pt) run from Faro’s central station to destinations along the Algarve coast, with long-distance services linking the city with Lisbon and other destinations in northern Portugal. Buses connect the airport to the train station.

Money:
There are ATMs in the arrival and departure concourses. A bank branch and a bureau de change are located in the public arrivals hall.
Food:
There are several snack bars, cafés and bars at Faro Airport, both airside and landside. These include fast food options and a pizza outlet in the boarding area.
Shopping:
There are newsagents in the public area and more in the departures concourse where there is a large selection of shops, from fashion boutiques and gift retailers to a football and sports shop. Duty-free and tax-paid outlets at Faro Airport offer a wide variety of goods.
Luggage:
Lost baggage will be delivered to the PSP (Public Security Police) counter near the meeting/information point (tel: +351 289 800 688). Baggage storage is available before security. Porters are on hand to assist with luggage and luggage carts are available to use for free.
Other:
Other facilities at Faro Airport include several travel agencies, baby-changing facilities and a first aid station.

Conference and business:
There are no conference or business facilities located on-site at Faro Airport. However, The CIP Room (tel: +351 289 800 800) is a large space where passengers can work and hold meetings. Facilities include satellite television, international newspapers and magazines and a selection of aperitifs and drinks. Two small meeting rooms are available at the nearby Hotel Ibis Faro (tel: +351 289 893 800; www.ibis.com).
Communication Facilities:
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Faro Airport. A post office is located in the public concourse and public telephones are positioned in key areas.
Disabled facilities:
Passengers with reduced mobility can request the MyWay service from the carrier or travel agent up to 48 hours before departure time. This service includes mobility-enhancing mechanical means as well as assistance at the airport from trained professionals. Passengers requiring wheelchairs or assistance should inform their airline at the time of booking. Lifts and disabled toilets are located throughout Faro Airport. Disabled passengers can park in reserved spaces in the car park opposite the terminal building.
Car parking:
Short-term parking is located in car park P1 (in the departures area) and car park P3 (in the arrivals area). Car park P2 offers long-term parking and is located behind car parks P1 and P3. Further parking information is available from the parking office (tel: +351 289 800 800).
Car rental:
Car hire companies at Faro Airport include: Avis-Budget, Europcar, Guerin, Sixt, Goldcar and Hertz. Counters for these operators are located in the arrivals area, and hire cars are picked up and dropped off at a car park a short distance from the terminal.
