The easiest way to drive between Salvador and Salvador International Airport is to follow the BA099 (Avenida Luiz Viana) road that runs close to the coastline, and follow the signs. The total drive time from central Salvador to the airport is approximately 30 minutes.

Public transport road:
Bus: There are frequent bus services between the city centre, Rodoviária Bus Terminal and Salvador International Airport. The Ônibus Praça da Sé / Aeroportoservice, is much cheaper than going by taxi, but can take 90 minutes or more due to heavy traffic. A number of shuttle services are also available.
Taxi: Taxis at Salvador International Airport are provided by Coometas (tel: +55 71 3244 4500; www.coometas.com.br), which can be found on the ground floor of the main passenger terminal.
Public transport air:
Air: There are several private air taxi companies operating from Salvador Airport. Companies offering air taxi services include Abaeté Aerotaxi (tel: +55 71 3462 9600), Aero Star (tel: +55 71 3612 8600) and Lider (tel: +0800 970 2020).

Money:
ATMs are located in the arrivals hall (to the left, past the Policia Federal area) of the main terminal. Both a 24-hour money-change service and bank are located on the ground floor of the terminal.

There are several cafés and fast food restaurants at Salvador International Airport. There is also a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks.
Shopping:
There are several shops in the terminal building, which sell a variety of items, including clothes, jewellery, gift items and books and magazines. There is also a pharmacy.
