Driving directions:

From central Ankara, simply follow the signs north along the Irfan Baştuğ Cd road, crossing the O-20 motorway outside the city and on to the D140 route, which leads directly to the airport.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus:The Havaş shuttle bus service from the airport to the city were terminated in 2014. Passengers should instead take the public bus number 442, which operates daily between 0640 to 2340 from the airport to ASTI bus station. Single fares are around TL5.25.

Taxi: Metered taxis are available immediately outside arrivals (tel:+90 312 398 0000, ext. 1258). Fares to Ankara start at around TL80-100, and the journey into the city centre takes 30-40 minutes.

Terminal facilities

Money:

There are two bureaux de change in the international section of the terminal. There is a bank in the domestic section, and ATMs in both Domestic and International Arrivals.

Food:

There is a good selection of cafés, snack bars and kiosks in all areas of the terminal. In Domestic Departures, a choice of restaurants, fast food and bars is available.

Shopping:

Shops at Esenboğa Airport are open 24 hours. Duty-free goods are available in the International Departures area. Souvenirs and a variety of other items, including newspapers, books, and tax refund services, are available at numerous outlets throughout the airport.

Luggage:

Baggage carts are widely available in the terminal. Lost and Found (tel: +90 312 590 4000, ext. 4388) is located in the International Arrivals section. There is a left luggage office in Domestic Arrivals, and bag-wrapping is available.

Other:

There are 12 prayer rooms at various locations throughout the airport. Additional on-site services include a pharmacy, a hairdressers and a shoeshine parlour.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

The airport has two meeting rooms with capacity for up to 35, plus a 150-seat conference hall. For details call +90 312 590 4000, ext. 4056. Additionally, there are premium lounges in both Domestic and International Departures, and VIP services are offered.

Communication Facilities:

Paid for Wi-Fi access is available in all areas of the terminal apart from the lounges, where it is free of charge to customers. Public telephones can be found throughout the complex. A post office is located in the Domestic area of the terminal.

Disabled facilities:

The modern terminal complex is fully accessible to disabled passengers. Special assistance can be pre-arranged, and designated parking is available in the car park for disabled travellers. As always, passengers requiring assistance should inform their airline before travelling.

Car parking:

There are both multi-storey and open car parks close to the terminal building, the open parking being cheaper and more suited to long-stay parking. Valet services are available, along with a car wash.

Car rental:

Payless, Thrifty and several local operators have desks in the International Arrivals area, while in the Domestic section companies represented include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.
