Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus:Local ESHOT (tel: +90 232 293 5010; www.eshot.gov.tr) buses 200, 202 and 204 serve Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. The fare to the city centre is TL4. Shuttle bus company Havaş (tel: +90 232 274 2276; www.havas.net) also operates seasonal buses to and from the airport, with a journey time of around 50 minutes. These buses run every hour, with frequent departures to the city corresponding with incoming domestic flights.

Taxi:Taxi ranks are located in front of the airport terminal buildings, and there are always taxis available during the airport's operating hours. Be prepared to haggle over the fare, but as a rule of thumb the price to the city will be around TL45. Many hotels will help to arrange a private transfer to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport.

Public transport rail:

Metro:The Izban (www.izban.com.tr) metro service links Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport with the city and a number of other destinations. Services are frequent, and operate from around 0500 to midnight. A flat fare of TL1.75 applies.

A restaurant is located on the mezzanine floor in the international departures hall. There is also a café in the international departures area, while a bar serves light snacks, salads and a rich choice of beverages. In addition, there are also several fast food outlets and smaller kiosks selling beverages, aperitifs, snacks and sandwiches near the gates.

Shopping:

There are plenty of shops at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, including several duty-free outlets, fashion retailers, a shop selling a variety of luxury items, a grocer, a jeweller, a souvenir shop and a florist.

Luggage:

The lost and found office (tel: +90 232 455 0000, ext. 4690) is located on the arrivals floor. Left luggage facilities are available in the international arrivals area.

Other:

There is a first aid clinic within the airport. Land side mosques/prayer rooms operate 24 hours daily.

Conference and business:

Fax machines, internet and phones can be accessed by first class and business class travellers in the Millennium Lounge. There is one meeting room and one press room on the mezzanine floor, near the popular burger chain outlet. The capacity of the meeting room is 45 people in theatre or 30 in U-shape seating styles. More comprehensive meetings and events facilities can be found in larger nearby hotels.

Communication Facilities:

Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal - it's free in the International Terminal lounges, and a charge applies elsewhere. There is also a post office on the arrivals floor.

Disabled facilities:

There are toilets for disabled passengers, located both on the arrivals and departures floors. All of the terminal lifts are accessible to wheelchair users, and specific parking areas are designated for disabled travellers.

Car parking:

There are more than 2,200 parking spaces in the airport's multi-storey car park. The car park is just in front of the terminal with short- and long-term parking options. Monthly membership cards are available.

Car rental:

Car hire companies represented at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar and Sixt. Local operators are also represented.
