Tel Aviv’s Mediterranean climate rewards a visit at any time of year.
Spring (March-May) is mild and makes for the best time to visit Tel Aviv. Temperatures are pleasant and are around 15-20C (60-70F).
Summer (June-August) can be hot and humid, though skies are usually clear. At the beginning and end of summer, the hamsin (or sharav), a hot, dusty desert wind, may blow for days.
Autumn (September-November) is still hot but less humid and makes for a great time to visit Tel Aviv and experience holidays like Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.
Winter (December-February) is occasionally rainy, yet still experiences exquisite warm weather with clear skies. If planning excursions outside Tel Aviv, steer clear of travel at this time of year, which is wet in the Galilee and cold in Jerusalem.
