Driving directions:

From central Dresden, follow route B170 north, then join the E40, which leads directly to the airport. There is clear signposting.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Bus 77 operates regularly from outside the terminal, connecting with tram line 7 to the city centre at the Infineon-Nord interchange. The total journey time is around 20 minutes, and the single fare is €2.30. Tickets are available from vending machines in the bus stop or at the airport information desk in Arrivals.

Taxi: The taxi rank is immediately outside the terminal building (official taxis are cream-coloured). The fare into the city centre costs around €20, and the journey time is 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Public transport rail:

The S-Bahn line S2 (tel: +49 180 699 6633; www.bahn.de) runs from directly beneath the terminal to Dresden’s two principal stations, Neustadt and the central Hauptbahnhof, then on to Pirna. Double-decker trains operate every 30 minutes, and the journey time to the two main stations is 12 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. The single fare is €2.30.

Money:

Banking services and ATMs are available in the terminal.

Food:

There are three cafés in the terminal, one of which is airside. All sell a range of snacks, cakes and beverages. Additionally, a short walk from the terminal, the staff canteen is also open to the public.

Shopping:

Goods available in the main store range from fashion items and alcohol to gifts and cosmetics. Other shops offer books, newspapers and baked goods. There are also duty-free shops.

Luggage:

Baggage trolleys are available for €1/€2. Luggage lockers are provided in the covered car park close to the airport entrance and are available for hire for up to 24 hours. A lost and found service is available via the information desk in Arrivals (tel: +49 351 881 3360).

Other:

Other facilities available at Dresden International Airport include travel agencies, a small casino and guided airport tours.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

The airport has a dedicated conference centre (tel: +49 351 881 3010), and events can also be staged on the visitor level. Two VIP lounges are available for premium passengers, one of which is exclusively for Lufthansa customers.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Dresden International Airport for up to 2 hours, a fee applies after this allotted period. Public telephones are available in all areas, and mobile device charging points are provided in the departure lounge. Postal services are also available.

Disabled facilities:

The airport is fully accessible for wheelchairs, and facilities including toilets are specially adapted for disabled passengers. Designated disabled parking spaces are also provided. Passengers requiring assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling.

Car parking:

Long and short-term parking is available close to the terminal. There is a petrol station, and electric vehicle charging points are provided.

Car rental:

International car hire companies: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Interrent and Sixt are represented at the airport. Desks are located in the Arrivals area.
